Discover Your Potential

Our day programmes are designed to help you discover your potential, become more independent and build skills, all whilst having fun! Formulated and led by our team of management experts trained in physical and behavioral therapy, our programmes work with teenagers and young adults to help develop the relationships and skills to be confident and empowered to achieve your goals.

We work to discover your potential through activities such as:

  • Water and beach-based activities such as disabled surfing, sailing, swimming with dolphins
  • Sports based activities such as wheelchair games, horse riding, indoor rock climbing and climbing
  • Group days and outings such as girls’ and boys’ days out or theme park trips
  • Wood crafting / Cooking Clubs
  • Team building exercises
  • Football season group packages
  • Clay and Art Classes
  • Social nights
  • Weekly social gatherings

Workshops

Angelic Care offers flexible and responsive services enabling individuals and their families to dip in and out of different types of provisions as required to suit their fluctuating needs. 

Peer Groups & Capacity Building

Our life skills events bring together people with disabilities, carers, and families in a safe and inclusive environment. Our life-skills are designed to build capacity, provide peer-led learning opportunities. To network with mainstream local community groups and businesses, to develop and build new friendships and connections.

Cooking Classes Made Fun

The skills and activities will include skill set pilot clinical skills workshops, small group peer to peer work shops with 4 in each class. 8 different menus over 8 weeks in a hired kitchen with the Gold Coast City Council.

Traditional Nations - Indigenous Cultural Workshop

Lady Gowrie has lady worked within the Indigenous community for over 20 years, including in schools and particularly the early learning sector. Lady Gowrie continues to share her knowledge both professionally and culturally in embedding Indigenous Perspectives through Culturally inclusive programs.

Podcast – Living with abilities “Hear Me Clear”

This workshop on self-advocacy skills focuses on empowering individuals living with disabilities and their advocates. It offers a platform to develop inclusion, provide peer support, and amplify voices through social media. Discussions will vary, addressing the unique experiences of those living with disabilities, their advocates, and family members. By collaborating with peers, participants will explore topics related to living with a disability, caregiving, and raising community awareness, all aimed at ensuring that diverse voices are heard loud and clear.

Transport - Accessible Wheelchair converted Vans

We aim to foster collaboration, innovation, and creativity within the disability and mainstream community. GCUH, Robina, and Logan QLD Health services are struggling with national taxi services, receiving 7 to 14 calls weekly for client transfers to hospitals. With additional vehicles, we could ensure more clients access hospitals without missing dialysis and provide wheelchair assistance for those needing transport to our life skills workshops.

Angelic Adventures - Community Give Back

Dress to Impress and meet new friends This event brings together people with disabilities, carers, and families in a safe and inclusive environment. This is not just an event; it's an experience that fosters collaboration, innovation, and creativity within the disability and mainstream community. Performers and live band details will be updated.

Undertanding your, NDIS Access

Schedule a meeting with a plan manager to thoroughly review your NDIS plan and discuss every aspect in detail. During this session, you'll explore the various supports and funding categories included in your plan, ensuring you fully understand how each element can help you achieve your goals and access the services you need. This comprehensive discussion will give you clarity on how to make the most of your plan and optimize the resources available to you.

Transitions 16/Turning 18

Between the ages of 16 and 18, a lot can change, and we're here to guide you through it all. We'll explore disability support pensions, government services, finding a job, education and training, relationships and friendships, as well as other disability-specific information, all at your own pace.
